Solid Redwood trunks contrast with the delicate lacy green lit by filtered afternoon sun. Bohemian Road on the way to Guernville Ca.
Thanks to Jakesprinters for the good suggestion that let me use one of my favorite “slam on the brakes and pull over” photos.
I love redwood trees. Will be camping among them 10 days, at Kings Canyon National Park. I cannot wait!
These will look like toothpicks compared to what you will see at Kings Canyon. Can’t wait to see your pictures, have fun!
Lovely photo – evocative woods.
Thank you Anne, I wonder if Goldie Locks and the Three Bears live among these trees?
There are so many beautiful places in this world . . . but all we have to do is look around us and there will be a beautiful place close to where we live. Just an amazing photo.

Neal this is one of my favorite photos. I made Jim pull over when I saw how the light was shinning between the trees so I could capture the photo. It is all about being willing to look and have a camera near by helps! Get your knee better and get out and start shooting!
“Light in the Forest” – never fails to thrill me – wonderful photo, Carol!
Me too, thanks Lynn, even if I know where and when it was taken I still wonder what is “back there!?”
Great work my friend ,Remind me of my childhood solid past thanks for sharing
That’s great! Trees are very Solid, firmly planted by their roots and stable. Lovely!
Well said, Imogen. Hello glad you stopped by, Carol.
