Weekly Photo Challenge: February Flowers in Review

The driest February in California on record has brought out incredibly beautiful flowering fruit trees all over the East Bay. I can’t drive down the street without pulling over to snap a picture. My own Santa Rosa plum (the first pic) burst into bloom just today.

Too much light

at the wrong time

does create great beauty.

Be careful what you ask for.

File this under Weekly Photo Challenge: Lost In Detail these pictures do focus on the details of the flowers as well as the whole tree within the landscape itself.

  1. Oh my! These photos are so beautiful and very professional. I am happy that your area was not affected too much by the drought. I am fortunate to view these photos. Up north in Portland OR. the trees ares confused, it is 35 one day and 50 the next. My daffodils have pooped up and they are just waiting to bloom! When they do I get excited because summer is definitely on its way.
    Thank you for sharing,

    • First thank, Cathy, for stopping by an saying kind words about my pictures. My daffodils have already come and gone. It has gotten up to 70 today, way to warm for this time of year. Hopefully we will have late rain and April showers :)

  2. Yes, great pictures. It is getting closer to the time for things to bloom here in Oklahoma. Of course the daffodils are blooming now so I know spring is getting closer. We missed out on those big snows up around Ponca City and on west where they had 19″ of snow. I’m so glad. I’m to old for a snow like that. lol I’m just hoping that the trees and etc. bloom after the last freeze.

  3. I like the idea of the “review of flowers”, like when there is a review of soldiers, only this is the opposite.

Now have your say...
