The Frittata Cha Cha Cha

cast oil in iron pan turn on the fan, cha!

chop up the onions, try not to cry
tell your tears by, by ,by!

throw in zucchinis and chillies, hot-cha cha!

don’t forget some folks like mushrooms a lot

dump this mess in the skillet hot hot hot

crack up over a half dozen eggs, 8 to tell it straight.

beat and pour over this whole mix 1, 2, 3 cha cha cha!

stick in the oven for a quick broil 4, 5, 6!

enjoy all the lovin’ for fixin’ a Fritttata CHA CHA CHA!

Margo Roby’s Tuesday Tryouts  suggested an event poem in which each line begins with command. Since I’m making a Frittata for dinner tonight and I had the pic  of the first one I made so this is what I’m serving up today. I had fun with nearly violent action verbs. Do you think you make this from these scrambled rhymin’ directions?

  1. You are having far too much fun! I like the effect of the imperative verbs. I may have to write a few more event poems. Yes, I have copied down the violent frittata recipe 🙂

  2. It’s like “Water for Chocolate” frittatas taste good only if you are having fun when you’re making them 🙂 I love them action verbs. Let me know when you dance with frittatas!

  3. What a coincidence. Last night I was watching Julia Child make omelets. There is no cooking show today that can come even close to the personality and artistry that permeates her work. Bar none. (it was on PBS)
