Black and White tells a different story: In color the kite is a bright pink, my friend wanted it for Christmas, but in black and white. I was totally surprised about how it came out. It did take many edits to get the wake and string to show up without loosing the clouds.
Believe or not, I just checked on Cee’s Fun Photo Challenge and it is Let’s Go Fly a Kite!

I am sure that in color I would realize it was a kite. But in black and white I was actually looking for a person Hang Gliding. But . . . . no person, so, it’s a kite. lol

I was hoping you would see this. I had never watched a kite surf up close. He was extrodinarlly strong! I took a lot of pics with my phone that day. This one is the one I’m proud of.

I am doing the B & W challenge! I am so jealous you are close to the beach. I live in land-locked Sacramento and our windsurf camp is an hour drive. Not too bad!

I really like the way you’ve worked this shot in black and white. I know that issue with the strings – I found keeping the kite strings visible was part of the challenge!
