The abundance of curves, arcs and circles softens the straight lines of the building’s interior.

Every year after we lay down the labyrinth I try to get a photo. That year those lanterns added an extra curve. You are so right that building does need a lot of softening. Yea curves and arches.

The candles are from our Unitarian Church’s Christmas service. Opposite end of the spectrum from a Basilica but I expect just as moving.
